Learning Outcomes

GENERAL COMPETENCIES

Acquiring knowledge in a number of current topics and subject areas related to Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

Written exam. No possibility to retake via oral examination. When applicable, also assessments of presentations, reports and question rounds/defenses. End mark is on /20 and is composed out of equal parts of the elective course sections. A final score of at least 10/20 should be obtained. If one of these parts is lower than or equals 7/20, the lowest score becomes the final mark that is communicated to the student and a re-exam is necessary.

When organized by the lecturer (open book exam), only a printed version of the allowed course notes and/or handbook(s) may be used, unless decided otherwise by the lecturer.

A partial exemption for the 2nd term, or the next academic year, can only be obtained for each of the parts for which at least a score of 10/20 was obtained.

On a specified day of the academic year, an info session is given to the students about the content and mode of assessment of each topic. This information can also be found on Canvas. When questions arise, the course titular Prof. Kristien De Paepe can be contacted.
