Course Content

Effective e-Procurement can provide a wide variety of benefits including more efficiency and substantial savings for governments and businesses. This course introduces the possibilities and challenges of e-Procurement, presents case studies from different Member States and the latest legislation, technologies and initiatives in the EU. The course provides the essentials of e-Government projects and practical examples how e-solutions can improve transparency and efficiency in public administrations.

Algemene competenties

After completing this module, students should be able to:

  • Understand how the traditional public procurement legislation and processes are transitioning to e-Procurement;
  • Learn how to practically apply e-Procurement tools in different sectors;
  • Get familiarised with leading e-Procurement systems in different EU Member States;
  • Get an update into the process of digitalisation and how it is affecting the provision of public services;
  • Know how to manage e-Government projects, steering clear of their specific challenges and reaping their benefits.

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Assignment with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
