Course Content

This course offers students two options to obtain the necessary credits. The first option is to write case note or report (2,000-3,500 words). Under the guidance of an academic supervisor, the student will analyse a current judgment of the European Courts in the field of public procurement (case note 6ECTS) or will assess a public procurement issue of relevance in an EU Member State (report 12ECTS). The second option to is to take part in an internship/collaborate with a (host) organisation on a project, followed up by writing a short report describing the PP aspect that was worked on and the lessons learned. A list of host organisations will be provided but students can also find their own host organisation and submit the internship for approval prior to its start. The best papers are selected for publication in the European Procurement and Public Private Partnership Law journal (https://www.lexxion.eu/en/journals/epppl/).

Students will be guided during the Module 2 courses in finding either their internship, or developing their research ideas.

For 12 ECTS: write a research article (4,000-7,000 words) on a public procurement issue of your interest. The best papers can be published in EPPPL journal.
