Inhoud

This course introduces the different aspects related to the complex relation between AI-technologies, people, cultural dynamics, and society. Topics will be discussed and illustrated with real world examples, and with different hands-on workshops to support the critical reflection and discussion. 

Topics covered are:  

  • Historical Context of AI and Cultural Perspectives 
  • Human-Centric Approach  
  • Social, cultural and Psychological Impact and dynamics: 
    • Societal Implications of AI: locally and global     
    • Impact on workforce, Job Roles and Skill Development 
    • Impact on learning and skill development 
    • Cultural Sensitivity and Global Deployments 
  • Ethical Considerations and Responsible AI:      
    • in this module we will not focus in depth on privacy          
    • focus on trustworthiness, transparency, interpretability; diversity and inclusion (Bias, Fairness, equity); human oversight and autonomy in Human-Machine Collaboration:  
      • Future Trends/scenarios, speculations, and continuous socio-technical change 
      • Team composition, Change Management and Communication Strategies with AI implementation
