The course unit "Internationalisation & Society" allows students to obtain ECTS credits for participating in international activities that are not acknowledged as credits in other study curriculum course units. These activities can include international internships, participation in summer schools, international conferences, specialised training courses, or elective training modules within international learning communities such as the EUTOPIA network.
Through such activities, students can strengthen their international and intercultural competencies as well as their communication skills in their native or foreign languages.

This course unit is assessed on a pass/fail basis based on the achievement of the activity or activities as reported and substantiated in the portfolio. Students need to obtain a pass grade for all relevant activities in order to pass the course as a whole.
The same evaluation criteria and conditions apply in the second examination period. In the second examination period, the student will have to complete or redo all activities for which they did not obtain a pass grade in the first session.
The use of generative AI is allowed for certain parts of the assignment (the writing of activity reports). For the writing of activity reports, generative AI is only allowed as spelling corrector. Every use of generative AI needs to be referenced in a suitable way (see reference list APA7).
