The subject or topic of the bachelor paper is determined in consultation with the supervisor. It must be related to one or more courses from the VUB bachelor programme Linguistics & Literary Studies and,more generally, be compatible with a domain of study that falls within the scope of the degree of Bachelor in Linguistics & Literary Studies.

The bachelor paper aims at demonstrating that the student is capable of approaching a topic in a scientific and critical way. The student herewith also illustrates that he/she is familiar with the recent developments in the analysed domain and that he/she possesses the necessary skills to produce a scientific text in one of the two main languages chosen in the two-language-combination
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
