Course Content

This course unit is part of the 'Talent for Research' program and should be taken in combination with the 'Talent for Research' track within the master's thesis, either simultaneously or in successive academic years. Students should apply for one of the available places during the call set up for this purpose before the start of the academic year.

The 'Talent for Research' program aims to better identify, coach, train and guide students with a talent for research in one of the fields of the Languages and Humanities faculty, to successfully develop a mandate or project application for external research funding (e.g. FWO). To this end, students follow a research internship, where they participate (at a BA level) in research practice within an ongoing project of one of the research groups as part of this OO. They carry out a series of research tasks under the supervision of one of the researchers, but also participate in meetings, study days, activities, etc. of the research team.

In addition, students are also required to participate in the range of faculty training courses for the Talent for Research program, e.g. concerning statistics, methodology, writing an academic paper, and so on.

IMPORTANT: This course unit can only be chosen if the student has successfully completed the selection procedure. Students cannot register themselves for this course. Please contact the study path counsellor: studypath.lw@vub.be .
