Enrolling for this plan is also possible having completed the Preparatory Programme Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering.
The Automotive Engineering and Sustainable Transport track of the Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering (BRUFACE) (120 ECTS) is built up modularly:
1) Common Core Courses
2) Partially Common Courses
3) Master Project (to select 1 out of 4)
4) Specific Courses
5) Master Thesis
6) Electives
Each of the modules should be successfully completed to obtain the master degree. The student must respect the specified registration requirements. The educational board strongly suggests the student to follow the model learning track. Only this model track can guarantee a time schedule without overlaps of the compulsory course units.
These common core courses must be successfully completed in the 1st and 2nd year of the model learning track in Automotive Engineering & Sustainable Transport.
Common Core MA1
These common core courses must be successfully completed in the 1st year of the model learning track in Automotive Engineering & Sustainable Transport.
From the courses listed below, students must obtain 19 ECTS credits.
5ECTS credits - Control System Design
5ECTS credits - Design Methodology
4ECTS credits - Data-Driven Engineering
5ECTS credits - Electrical Drives
Common Core MA1
This common course must be successfully completed in the 1st year of the model learning track in Automotive Engineering & Sustainable Transport.
Remark: for the 'Aeronautics' and the 'Energy' track, 'Turbomachinery' is a 5 ECTS course.
From the courses listed below, students must obtain 3 ECTS credits.
3ECTS credits - Turbomachinery
These partially common courses must be successfully completed in the 1st and 2nd year of the model learning track in Automotive Engineering and Sustainable Transport.

In the 2nd year of the model learning track in Automotive Engineering and Sustainable Transport, students must successfully complete 20 ECTS of elective courses. Registration for the electives is allowed on condition the student has already successfully accomplished at least 30 ECTS of compulsory courses of the Master in Electromechanical Engineering.
Students have to give priority to the master specific electives. They can choose these electives from the list mentioned below, or from outside of this list when sufficiently motivated and subject to approval by the chair person of the program. At most 6 ECTS of electives can be chosen outside of the list below.
This module also includes two optional Internships.
Remarks for students who want to select an Intership as part of their electives:
1. It is not allowed to register for both Interships.
2. The optional intership should preferably take place during the summer holidays in order to avoid interference with the course scheduling.
Prerequisites for taking one of the optional Internships:
1. The student must hold the diploma that is required for admission to this master. Students with a combined inscription bachelor-master, are not allowed to enroll for an optional intership; and
2; The student has already successfully accomplished at least 40 ECTS of compulsory courses of the master programme (exemptions included).
