Enrolling for this plan is also possible having completed the Preparatory Programme Master of Arts in Linguistics and Literary Studies.

Overview of the study plan

In addition to the Master's thesis (18 ECTS) and the research methodology course (3 ECTS), the student is obliged to take the Brussels subject (3 ECTS) and chooses 2 languages of which at least 6 ECTS per chosen language and 24 ECTS within the chosen profile.
Within the profile Literary Studies, the languages German, English, Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish can also be chosen from a special list of ULB course units (Max. 1 course, 6 ECTS)

First Semester

Students who wish to make use of this possibility must submit their request via the form 'request equivalent study parts ULB LW', which can be found on the faculty website STUDENT.VUB (regulations and forms) and this until 30 September for courses of the first semester and 15 February for courses of the second semester.


Master Thesis & Research Methodology

The Master Thesis (18 ECTS) and the Research Methodology are obligated.
