Enrolling for this plan is also possible having completed the Preparatory Programme Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy (only in Dutch).
The Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy, minor Research is composed of:
- 30 ECTS-credits compulsory courses
- 30 ECTS-credits master thesis
- 10/12 ECTS-credits external mobility courses
- 50/48 ECTS-credits minor Research electives
In total, this academic plan comprises 120 ECTS credits.

Minimum 10 ECTS-credits and maximum 12 ECTS-credits mobility courses; as mobility course the student can choose courses from another university or do an internship at a (inter)national research institution. For this, the student should contact the responsibles of the mobility courses.
From the courses listed below, students must obtain 40 ECTS credits.
