Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students should be able to:

Identify the most important historical moments of European integration and understand their impact on the process;

Understand the composition and functioning of the main EU institutions and their role in the decision-making process;

Understand the various stages of the EU decision-making process and the involvement of the various actors;

Understand the principles and characteristics of EU law and its application in the various EU policy areas;

Identify and use efficiently the main EU information sources as well as the main types of EU documents
-
Have a profound understanding of negotiations in the Council of the EU and the differences of decision-making between classical fields of EU competences and the Common Foreign and Security Policy
