Course Content

The course offers an introduction to the research domain of human geography. Human geographers study the relation between people and their environment with specific attention paid to the spatial patterns of social interactions.

Learning Outcomes

General competencies

At the end of the course you should:

- Have an insight into the main research domains of human geography;

- Have a first awareness of the historical development of human geography as a research domain;

- Understand the relation between human geography and other disciplines;

- Have a preliminary knowledge of the main research methods used in human geography.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • exm schriftelijk with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

    Note: Er wordt een schriftelijk examen georganiseerd met mogelijkheid tot mondelinge voortzetting.
