General competencies

General Learning Outcomes - master programme:

  • Students show an open and constructive attitude whilst having respect for other views and beliefs. (The practical training can be a reason to put into practice an original definition of a problem);
  • Students act upon an open attitude in a culturally diverse international context. They critically reflect on their own (geographical, social, cultural, local, personal, …) position;
  • Students demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, responsibility, communicative attitude, creativity and the ability to plan, coordinate, supervise and advise. The acquired skills enable the graduates to become independent, responsible, inquiring and reflective professionals;
  • Students can apply the acquired knowledge and skills in a professional context. (Apply the obtained perceptions into a media-oriented company during the practical training);

  • In this course the student can build a critical, constructive and effective attitude trough the combination of theory, science and practice during the practical training.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Internship with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The student will be evaluated by the supervisor of practical training of the university on advise of the training tutor in the field.

Calculation of the grading mark

The following criteria are taken into account:

The student needs to pass both parts (i.e. portfolio and conclusion of the internship advisor) separately.

In the final calculation of the grading mark, punctuality of the student (e.g. respecting  deadlines) will be taken into account.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
