Course Content

The ‘Research Practicum Adult Education Sciences’ continues to build on the skills acquired as part of the 'Research methods and techniques for adult educational sciences' training course . The Research practicum places emphasis both on quantitative as qualitative research. The objective is to design and execute a research within the field of adult educational sciences together with the students. In doing so, each phase of the empirical cycle (problem statement, literature review, research questions, choosing research design, interviewing, focusgroups, survey, qualitative and quantitative data-analysis, reporting) is explained and eloborated in a practical sense.

By the end of the 'Adult Education Sciences Research Practicum', the students have completed a full empirical cycle and have written a personal research design. Both the theory and the practical sessions of the research practicum are focused as much as possible on the masters thesis of the student, which they will be required to produce in the following year.
