Course Content

A CAD program is being taught which enables the student to draw plans, views, sections and details of buildings, as well as 'renders' and presentation drawings. The student also learns to build and structure three-dimensional computer models.
As a final assignment, one of the projects, designed for the course Ontwerpatelier: habitat en erfgoed, is drawn in the CAD programme and presentation drawings are made.
A small assignment is given on the exam, where mainly the digital modelling of a 3D object is being evaluated.

Course material
Digital course material (Recommended) : Cursus-nota's, Canvas
Additional info

The manuals and assignments are made available on the Canvas communication platform.
Attendance at the exercise sessions is not compulsory, but the tasks must be issued through Canvas within the set time frame. The result, the working method and the progress of the student will be quoted.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 25% of the final mark.
PRAC Practical Assignment determines 35% of the final mark.
Other determines 40% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 25% of the final mark.

Within the PRAC Practical Assignment category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Exercises during the year with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 35% of the final mark.

Within the Other category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Final task with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 40% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

A project, designed for the course Ontwerpatelier: habitat en erfgoed, will be introduced into the drawing programme and the presentation drawings will be completed. Model and documents are presented in class. This assignment counts for 40%.

A small assignment is given on the written exam Computer-assisted Design. The relevant grading counts for 25%. It is mainly the digital modelling of a 3D object that is evaluated.

The results of the exercises during the year, in which basic skills are taught step by step, count for 35%.

Attendance at the exercise sessions is not compulsory, but the tasks must be handed in via Canvas within the set time frame. The result, the working method as well as and the progress of the student are evaluated.
