- Los estudiantes traducen varios textos (cortos) del español al neerlandés. En las clases y a través de la plataforma de aprendizaje (Canvas) los estudiantes también obtienen un resumen de algunas problemas y estrategias de traducción que son útiles para la traducción del español al neerlandés.
- Los estudiantes traducen frases del neerlandés al español. Estas frases contienen problemas gramaticales que se analizan en las clases.
- Los estudiantes también realizan actividades de comprensión auditiva y ejercicios orales para preparar y apoyar las actividades de traducción escrita (parafrasear, traducir de la hoja, resumir oralmente, hablar en público, etc.). Estos ejercicios no solo preparan a los estudiantes para una (eventual/futura) práctica de la interpretación. También ayudan a perfeccionar las estrategias generales de traducción.
- Students translate several (short) texts from Spanish into Dutch. Students will also receive, in the translation workshops and via the learning platform (Canvas), an overview of specific translation problems and transformations that are useful when translating from Spanish into Dutch.
- Students translate sentences from Dutch into Spanish. These sentences contain grammatical problems that are discussed during the classes.
- Students will also perform listening activities and oral exercises (paraphrasing, sight translation, oral summarizing, public speaking, etc.) to prepare and support written translation activities. These exercises do not only prepare the students for (possible) interpreting practice. They also help to hone their general translation skills.

Op het einde van dit vak is de student in staat teksten te vertalen van het Nederlands naar het Spaans op niveau B2 van het ERK en op niveau C1 van het Spaans naar het Nederlands.
Al final de esta asignatura, el estudiante será capaz de traducir textos del neerlandés al español en el nivel B2 del MCER y en el nivel C1 del español al neerlandés.
At the end of the course, the student can translate texts from Dutch into Spanish at the level B2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:
El examen consiste en una parte español-neerlandés (50% de la nota final) y otra parte neerlandés-español (50% de la nota final). Un estudiante aprueba la asignatura si consigue una media igual o superior a 10/20. En caso de no llegar a esta calificación, el estudiante tiene que volver a presentarse al examen de recuperación de segunda convocatoria para ambas partes.
The exam consists of a Spanish-Dutch component (50% of the final grade) and a Dutch-Spanish component (50% of the final grade). A student has passed the course if the sum of both parts of the exam is higher than 10/20. A student who obtains a 9/20 or less for the sum of both exam parts, has to retake both components in the second exam session.
