This course provides a hands-on introduction to the analysis of literary prose (narratology), poetry, drama, theatrical performance and film. The term 'text' is seen in its broadest sense and each teaching team member discusses ways of approaching and analyzing texts in form and meaning.
Extra activity: library visit
The students know different methods for analyzing texts (prose, poetry, drama, theater, film) and can critically estimate the advantages and disadvantages of a chosen method. The students are also able to apply these approaches autonomously in text analysis.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
